LEGOLAND Malaysia is the first LEGOLAND Park in Asia. Targeted towards families with children from ages 2 to 12 years, the Park offers a full day of adventure, education and fun. With more than 40 rides, shows and interactive attractions, there's something for everyone to enjoy. The 15,000 LEGO models found throughout the park use approximately 50 million LEGO bricks. LEGOLAND opens to the public on the 15th September 2012.
I've always been an avid fan of LEGO as I grew up playing with them. It comes as no surprise that I spent a good 3 hours just admiring all the creations and getting my much needed sun tan. I didn't take any of the rides because they are simply too mild (and I can't fit in some of them). All of the rides are absolutely non-threatening and shouldn't elevate your heart-rate over 100. Simply put, this place was made for children. There are many opportunities to play interactive games with your kids and even compete with other families. I strongly recommend LEGOLAND Malaysia as a MUST SEE attraction. It's a mere 15 minutes drive from the Singapore Tuas checkpoint and a lovely place to let your kids hang out. There's also no shortage of food with 3 restaurants, 4 food stands and 11 food carts. It also boasts Asia's largest LEGO shop with over 2,000 different products.
The theme park covers about 50 football fields but perhaps the single caveat is that it is mostly an open air Park so rainy days can spoil the experience.
Also take note... LEGOLAND is only 10 a minutes drive from Johor Premium Outlets. That's the parents' playground ;-)
